Embark on a sightseeing cruise into the Alaskan wilderness that guarantees you'll see wildlife!

Travel by motorcoach to scenic Auke Bay to board a high-speed catamaran specifically designed for this adventure. Relax in the warm, comfortable, spacious main cabin surrounded by large windows, or breathe in the fresh sea air from the open-top deck.

Against the backdrop of the majestic Chilkat Mountains and glaciers of the Juneau Icefield, your experienced captain guides you through the many islands and channels of Stephens Passage.

An onboard naturalist explains the habits and habitat of the wildlife you may encounter, including humpback whales, porpoises, harbor seals, sea lions, orcas, brown bears, Sitka black-tailed deer, bald eagles and a variety of marine birds.

Fish for Salmon in one of the most productive fishing grounds in southeast Alaska. Enjoy the calm waters and beautiful scenery from the comfort of a 26- to 36- foot enclosed luxury vessel skippered by a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain.
Your catch can be processed locally and shipped to your home for an additional charge (credit cards accepted).

Cruise lines will not allow you to store your catch onboard, but most will prepare your catch for dinner.
NOTE: Rubber-soled or deck shoes must be worn on the boat. Bring appropriate outdoor clothing.

Auke Bay Sea Kayaking ~ APPX. 3 ½ Hrs
Travel in the style of southeast Alaska's Native Americans and explore the coastal waterways and wetlands of beautiful Auke Bay by kayak.
Juneau Helpful and experienced guides outfit you in life jackets and rain gear (if necessary) and teach you easy paddling techniques. Then climb into one of the stable, but nimble, two-person kayaks and begin your adventure.
Your guide explains the history of the area and helps identify the local flora and fauna. Keep watch for eagles, herons, porpoises, seals, sea lions, perhaps even a whale along the way.
Explore Juneau's beautiful coast, including Smuggler's Cove and the Mendenhall Wetlands, where, depending on the weather, you may get a view of spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. Silently approach wildlife, and get a sense of how the Aleut traveled theses waterways in search of pelts years ago.

Back at the kayak base, enjoy a hot beverage and snack before transferring to you cruise ship pier.
